Listing a finance or crypto product on Outbidly

This is deliberately the most limited guide in this series. It covers exactly one thing — how the visibility mechanic works — and states plainly what a rank on this board does not, and cannot, mean.

Read this first: a rank is not a trust signal

Stated plainly

Outbidly does not review, verify, vet, or endorse any listing — in Finance & Crypto or any other category. A listing's rank reflects only how much money has been paid toward it, by anyone, at any time. It is not a background check, a security audit, a regulatory status, or any kind of signal that a product is safe, legitimate, or trustworthy. Anyone can submit a URL or handle they don't own or control — see the FAQ's answer on this exact point — so a high rank in this category specifically should never be read as third-party validation of anything.

Nothing below this point is investment advice, a legitimacy claim, or a recommendation of any kind — it's a description of a payment-and-ranking mechanic, the same mechanic every other category on this board uses.

What a listing actually does

Submitting a URL or handle and paying gets a row on a public leaderboard, filterable by category, that people can browse and click through from. That's the entire mechanic: a fixed $5 minimum for a new listing's first payment, and pay-the-difference (minimum $1) to raise an existing one further. The outbound link on every listing is marked rel="sponsored nofollow", meaning it explicitly does not pass search-ranking credit — Outbidly is not, and has never claimed to be, an SEO or backlink service, which matters here as much as anywhere: a listing here has no bearing on how a search engine, or anyone else, evaluates your product's credibility.

A higher rank means one thing only: more money has been paid toward that listing than toward the ones below it. It says nothing about trading volume, audit status, custody arrangements, licensing, or any other fact a reasonable person might otherwise associate with a "top-ranked" financial product. Reading rank as anything beyond that is reading more into the number than the mechanic actually provides.

If your page makes claims, that's between you and the applicable regulations — not Outbidly

Your listing's title and one-line description are pulled automatically from whatever your page's og:title and og:description say — Outbidly doesn't write, edit, review, or fact-check that copy before it appears on the board. Any regulatory disclosures, risk warnings, or licensing statements your product is required to make remain entirely your responsibility to include on the page being listed; a listing here changes nothing about those obligations.

Category fit, described neutrally

The Finance & Crypto category exists so that a visitor filtering the board for financial tools, trackers, exchanges, or crypto products sees a narrower, more relevant list than the unfiltered board. Picking it accurately (rather than a broader catch-all category) puts your listing in front of people who've already chosen to browse that specific filter — that's the only effect category selection has here.

Pricing and timing, mechanically identical to every other category

$5 claims a new listing's starting total; raising an existing one costs only the gap to a new target, minimum $1 — see Outbidly Pricing, Explained for the exact rule. The Today board resets daily and typically costs less to lead than a mature All-Time total, if timing visibility around a specific date matters. None of this changes based on category — the mechanic is applied identically regardless of what's being listed.
