Terms of Service

Outbidly is a paid, public leaderboard — a novelty ranking product. You pay to add money to a running total tied to the email address you provide, and your rank is determined solely by how that total compares to everyone else's.

Outbidly is not a lottery, raffle, or game of chance; not gambling of any kind; and not an investment or financial product. There is no random outcome anywhere in the product — the highest total always wins the rank, deterministically. Paying does not entitle you to any prize, return, dividend, or ownership interest.

You must be able to form a binding contract and use a valid payment method in your own name (or with explicit authorization to use it) to place a bid. Outbidly does not operate a login or account system — you're identified solely by the email address you supply at checkout.

Each successful payment ("bid") adds to your permanent, cumulative total on the All-Time leaderboard. Bids placed since 00:00 UTC also count toward the Today leaderboard, which clears to $0 at the next 00:00 UTC — your All-Time total is never affected by that reset. The minimum bid is $2 for your first-ever bid and $1 for every bid after that. Rank is assigned strictly by total amount paid; ties are not explicitly broken by bid time or any other factor.

All payments are processed by Stripe. Outbidly does not collect, transmit, or store your full card number or other card details — that information is handled entirely by Stripe. Your entry and total are only updated after Stripe confirms a payment succeeded.

All payments are final. There are no refunds, ever — including if you are later outbid, if you change your mind, if you dispute your own display name or logo, or for any other reason. You're paying to add to your permanent total and your current rank. But your money is never wasted: every payment you make always counts toward your total, whether or not you're currently #1. Being outbid only ever lowers your rank — it never deletes your entry or your payment history.

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute for a successful bid is a breach of these Terms and may result in your entry being removed and future bids being declined.

You agree not to submit a display name, logo URL, or link URL that is:

• Offensive, hateful, harassing, or discriminatory;
• Sexually explicit or otherwise not safe for a general public audience;
• Illegal, fraudulent, or infringing on someone else's trademark, copyright, or other rights;
• Malicious — including links to malware, phishing pages, or deceptive content.

Outbidly reserves the right to remove, hide, or edit any entry's display name, logo, or link at its sole discretion if it violates this policy or otherwise, without notice and without any refund of the underlying total.

You're responsible for the display name, logo URL, and link URL you submit, and you represent that you have the right to use them. Outbidly does not host uploaded images — a logo is only ever referenced by URL you provide, and you're responsible for keeping that URL live and appropriate.

The leaderboard is provided "as is" and "as available." Outbidly does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that any particular rank will be held for any length of time (since anyone can be outbid at any moment), or that the service will be free of errors. Outbidly disclaims all warranties, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Outbidly's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the total amount you paid to Outbidly. Outbidly is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Outbidly may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
