How it works

   Submit a URL or an @handle

   No login, no account, nothing to type by hand. Paste a product URL or an X/Twitter @handle — that's the entire identity of a listing. For a URL, the title, description, and favicon shown on the board are fetched automatically from the page; an @handle listing just shows the handle.

   Pay to claim the rank

   A brand-new listing needs a $5 minimum first payment. Resubmitting the same URL or handle doesn't create a duplicate — it tops up the existing listing, and that only costs the difference between its current total and your new target, at least $1 more than what's already there.

   A completed payment claims the rank

   Stripe is the source of truth. Nothing on the board changes until checkout actually completes — there's no visible "pending" entry anywhere, and an abandoned or failed checkout never touches a listing's total.

   The total is permanent, never lost

   Every dollar ever paid toward a listing stays on its All-Time total for good — no refunds, but nothing is ever wasted either. Being passed by another listing only changes the rank; it never erases money already paid in.

Can I get my money back?

No — every payment is final, there are no refunds. But nothing is wasted either: it always counts toward that listing's permanent total, whether or not it's currently #1.

What happens to a listing when it gets passed?

Its total and history are untouched — it just shows a lower rank. No payment toward it is ever deleted or reduced because another listing paid more.

How much do I need to pay to put a listing back on top?

The gap between its current total and whoever's ahead of it, plus at least $1. You're topping up the existing total, not paying it again from zero.

What if two listings end up with the exact same total?

The leaderboard sorts by total first, then — for a tie — by which listing has held that total the longest. In other words, whichever one reached that number least recently ranks above one that just tied it moments ago.

Can I submit a Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, or Signal link?

No. Chat and invite links from those platforms (and similar ones) are rejected at submission — the board is for product pages and public profiles, not group chats or invite pages.

Do I need to write a title or description myself?

No. For a URL listing, the title, description, and favicon are pulled automatically from the page you submit. An @handle listing skips this entirely and just displays the handle.

I resubmitted a link I already used and it charged me less than $5 — is that a bug?

No, that's the top-up mechanic working correctly. Once a listing exists, any later submission of the same URL or handle only charges the difference needed to reach your new target, with a $1 minimum — the $5 minimum only applies to a listing's very first payment.

Is this gambling?

No. There's no random outcome and nothing to lose by participating — the highest total always wins the rank, deterministically, every time. You're paying for a ranked spot on a public leaderboard, not a chance at one.

Does Today ever affect All-Time?

No. Today clears to $0 at 00:00 UTC. All-Time is never touched by that reset — the two boards are just two different lenses on the same underlying payments.

Can a listing be taken down?

Yes. Outbidly reserves the right to remove a listing that violates the acceptable-use rules in the Terms of Service — that doesn't refund the money already paid toward it.
