Privacy Policy

When you place a bid, Outbidly collects:

• Your email address;
• The display name you choose to appear on the leaderboard;
• An optional logo URL and an optional link URL, if you provide them;
• The bid amount and the time it was placed.

Payment card details are collected directly by Stripe and never pass through or get stored on Outbidly's own systems — see "Third-party processors" below.

• To record your bid and maintain your running total on the Today and All-Time leaderboards;
• To email you a receipt after a successful payment;
• To email you when you've been outbid, naming who passed you and the amount to reclaim the spot;
• To investigate abuse, fraud, or violations of the Terms of Service.

Your email address is never displayed on the public leaderboard, and it's never returned by any public-facing query. The leaderboard only ever shows your display name, logo, link, and total — the database views that power the public leaderboard are defined to exclude email entirely, and the underlying entrant and bid records are locked down at the database level so only Outbidly's server-side payment handling can read or write them directly. Your email is used only to send you a receipt and, if it happens, an outbid notification.

Outbidly relies on two third-party services to operate:

• Stripe — processes every payment. Stripe sees your payment card details, billing information, and the email address associated with your bid, and issues its own payment confirmation. Outbidly never sees or stores your full card number.
• Brevo — sends transactional email on Outbidly's behalf. Brevo receives your email address and display name in order to deliver your receipt and any outbid alerts. Brevo is not used for marketing email from Outbidly, and your email is not shared with Brevo for any purpose beyond sending these transactional messages.

Outbidly does not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

Because the All-Time leaderboard is, by design, a permanent record, bid and entrant records are retained indefinitely rather than deleted when you're outbid or over time. You may request that your display name, logo, or link be removed or updated by contacting us — see below — though your underlying total and payment history are retained for accounting and fraud-prevention purposes even if your public entry is edited or hidden.

You can contact us to ask what personal data we hold about a given email address, to correct your display name, logo URL, or link URL, or to request that your entry be hidden from the public leaderboard. Removing or hiding a public entry does not delete the underlying bid records or entitle you to a refund — see the Terms of Service.

Outbidly may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of the service after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
